Assignment Details

• Start Date: December 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours
• Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
• Open Positions: 4
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd Weekend
• Experience Required: 2 Years
• Travel Experience: Not Required (First-Time Travelers Accepted)
• Floating: May be required between University Hospital and East Hospital.

Requirements

• Active Ohio State Respiratory Care License (must be in hand at submission).
• RRT Certification.
• AHA BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
• High School Diploma or official transcripts required during compliance.

Clinical Skills

Experience with the following is preferred:

• Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department.
• Ventilator Management, BiPAP, and CPAP.
• Mechanical Ventilation Weaning.
• Airway Management and Suctioning.
• Tracheostomy Care and Management.
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
• Oxygen Therapy and Nebulizer Treatments.
• ABG Interpretation.
• Medication Administration and Aerosol Therapy.

Preferred Equipment: Hamilton Ventilators.

Patient Population & Unit

• Adults and Geriatric Patients.
• Med/Surg Floors and Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Large Academic Medical Center.
• Common Diagnoses: COPD, Asthma, and Cancer.

Important Compliance Requirements

• 2 Professional References required (at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor).
• All requested time off (RTO) must be provided at submission.
• Ohio fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing the contract.
• Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday before the start date.
• Flu Vaccine Required (Medical Exemptions Only).
• COVID-19 Vaccine Not Required.
• Former employees eligible after 6 months away from the facility.
• Current Ohio State employees are not eligible.

Additional Note: Candidates must be prepared to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after booking to avoid any delays or cancellation.
