Behavioral Health RN | Travel Contract | 13 Weeks

Join a high-acuity behavioral health team as a Travel Behavioral Health Registered Nurse providing compassionate, evidence-based care to adult psychiatric patients. This role requires strong assessment skills, crisis intervention experience, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced mental health setting.

Assignment Details

• 13-week travel contract
• 3x12 schedule
• 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 12/3
• Every other weekend required
• Guaranteed 40 hours
• First-time travelers accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients
• Complete assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Manage patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms and behavioral crises
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and nursing staff
• Maintain accurate documentation utilizing Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR
• Support a safe therapeutic environment while following behavioral health best practices
• May serve as Charge RN when needed

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience
• BLS required
• CPI preferred if applicable
• Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work in a high-acuity psychiatric environment

Additional Information

• Travelers must be comfortable floating to various patient populations, including adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric behavioral health units as needed
