Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health / Psychiatric
Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Facility: Union Hospital
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Union Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join its Behavioral Health team in Terre Haute, Indiana. This opportunity is ideal for nurses passionate about mental health care and making a positive impact on patients' lives.
Position Details:
- Full-time, permanent employment
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- Competitive pay: $30–$45/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral and mental health conditions
- Complete psychiatric and physical health assessments
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and monitor treatment responses
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment
Qualifications:
- Active Indiana RN license or eligible compact RN license
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
- Behavioral Health or Psychiatric Nursing experience preferred
