We are seeking experienced Emergency Room RNs for a rural critical access hospital and Level IV Trauma Center serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and provide emergency nursing care.
• Administer medications and support treatments within the nursing scope of practice.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and follow-up care.
• Support inpatient nursing services when needed.
• Follow facility safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Provide respectful, culturally appropriate care.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or D.C. (compact license is a bonus; single state suffices due to the federal facility designation).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of general nursing experience, including at least 1 to 2 recent years in an Emergency Department. Rural, critical access, or IHS/tribal experience is strongly preferred.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TNCC) or ENPC is a plus.
