Description

Nursing Roles & Expectations
 Circulating experience is required
 Scrub experience is a plus, but not required
 The department prioritizes nurses with strong circulating skills who are willing and able to share their knowledge and contribute to the continued advancement of perioperative nursing practice
 Nurses should be comfortable working across all phases of surgical care
 Comfort caring for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, is required

Call Expectations
 Agency nurses do not take call unless:
o They volunteer
o They are proficient in multiple surgical modalities

Sedation & Additional Competencies
 Moderate sedation experience, training, and certification are preferred
 Nurses should be comfortable supporting perioperative workflows involving procedural sedation and recovery

Active OR RN license Preferred or Pending OR license 3 years minimum previous RN circulator experience, Peri-op 101 course or Scrub experience. OB-C Section experience BLS/ ACLS PALS Must be strong in Ophthalmology and Vascular
