Position Overview

Newark Wellness Center is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with digital mammography, 3-D mammography, diagnostic imaging, and digital quality assurance procedures. Candidates must be comfortable working with GE equipment and providing imaging services to adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: Day Shift
• Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Weekends: As needed; every other weekend coverage may apply.
• Floating: Possible to Eastmont and other facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications & Certifications
 

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience.
• Outpatient imaging experience required.
• Experience with screening and diagnostic mammography.

Required Certification:

• Current CRT Mammography certification.

Preferred Certification:

• ARRT (R) – Radiography.

Required Clinical Skills & Procedures
 

Candidates should have experience with:

• 3-D Mammography.
• Diagnostic Mammograms.
• Digital Mammography.
• Screening Mammograms.
• Digital Quality Assurance Procedures.

Preferred Skills:

• Fine Needle Aspiration.
• Needle Localizations.
• Stereotactic Biopsy.
• Isolation Precautions and PPE.
• Management / Leadership Experience.
• Radiation Safety.
• Universal Precautions and Core Measures.

Equipment & Technology

• GE Mammography Equipment.
• Digital Mammography Systems.
• 3-D Mammography Technology.

Unit & Patient Care Details

• Work Setting: Outpatient.
• Patient Population: Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
• Interdisciplinary Support: Radiology.
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 during day shifts.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, as needed.
• Floating: May be required to Eastmont and other facilities.
