Location: McCall, ID
Pay: $2,707 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts
Schedule: 6 shifts on / 8 shifts off
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in McCall, Idaho. The ideal candidate must have strong CT imaging experience and be comfortable working independently during overnight shifts.

The role involves performing both CT and X-ray examinations in an acute-care hospital setting, including trauma and emergency imaging.

Key Responsibilities

CT Imaging

• Perform CT examinations for abdominal and pelvic studies.
• Perform cardiac scoring CT examinations.
• Handle trauma imaging and Code Stroke protocols.
• Ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
• Work independently during overnight shifts.

X-Ray Imaging

• Perform general and orthopedic X-ray examinations.
• Conduct portable X-ray studies as needed.
• Maintain proper imaging techniques and patient positioning.
• Follow established radiology protocols and safety standards.

Documentation and Patient Care

• Maintain accurate imaging documentation using Epic EMR.
• Utilize McKesson PACS for image management.
• Collaborate with emergency department physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Support timely imaging services for emergency and acute-care patients.
• Follow departmental procedures and radiation safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong CT imaging experience required.
• Must be comfortable independently operating CT services during night shifts.
• X-ray experience preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Ability to perform trauma and Code Stroke imaging protocols.

Equipment and Technology

• CT Scanner: Toshiba
• X-Ray Equipment: Carestream
• EMR: Epic
• PACS: McKesson
• One CT machine, one fixed X-ray machine, and one portable X-ray machine.

Schedule and Additional Information

• 12-hour night shifts.
• 6 shifts on followed by 8 shifts off.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holiday coverage required when a holiday falls during the scheduled rotation.
• No on-call requirement.
• No self-scheduling.
• Scrubs provided.
• Two weeks of department-specific orientation on day shift.
• The department does not perform procedures.
• Manager is available to support the night team.

Housing Information

McCall is a resort town with outdoor activities nearby, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and lake access. Housing can be expensive; however, assistance with finding affordable housing may be available.
