Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Edmonds, Washington
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• 13-week contract
• Staffing ratio: 1:1–3
• Float required as needed

Role Focus

• Labor and Delivery / Post Partum / OB Triage / Antepartum / Normal Newborn
• Patient diagnoses include Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn
• Special procedures include Vaginal Delivery, Cesarean Delivery, Circulate in OR, Start adult IVs, Blood/Blood Products Administration, Drains, Epidural Pumps, PCA Pumps, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Special equipment includes Circulate C/S, High Risk Antepartum, High Risk L&D, LDRP, Low Risk Antepartum/LD, OB-GYN, Post-Op/Pre-Op, and Couplet Care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• IV Certification
• AWHONN Intermediate
• FHM
• Experience working with Neonate patients
• Experience with vaginal delivery
• Experience with cesarean section
• Experience circulating for C-sections
• Ability to start adult IVs
• Experience with blood and blood products administration
• Ability to interpret fetal heart rate strips
• Post Partum experience

• ACLS

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify for a travel position
• The assignment requires compliance with float policy and facility-specific onboarding requirements
