MS/Tele

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Omaha, Nebraska
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
• 36 hours per week
• 36 or 48-hour option available

Unit / Setting

• Werner Specialty Care Unit (WSCU), a 36-bed mixed acuity unit
• Adult oncology unit serving patients receiving chemotherapy or high dose chemotherapy, with or without bone marrow/stem cell transplant
• RNs should be prepared to care for up to five Med Surg patients
• Travelers do not administer chemo

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• 2 years of prior experience
• 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital
• EPIC charting experience
• First timers not accepted
• Must be more than 100 miles from the facility
• Pending license accepted, but if the license is not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out

Preferred

• ACLS
• Chemo

Schedule / Expectations

• Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently
• Float scope may include 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU
• Ratios are 1:4 days and 1:5 nights
• Drips are required on all floors
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Up to 2 weeks of RTO permitted, submitted with application
