Radiation Therapist

Schedule

Day shift, 5 x 8 hours (8:00-16:30)
8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Guaranteed hours: facility may call off once per two-week pay period
Block schedule: per manager discretion

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in California
Radiation Therapist experience totaling at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
ARRT (T)

Assignment Details

First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted
Pending licenses not accepted
Return-to-work (RTO) documentation must be included at time of submission
Scrub color: Radiology is black
Parking: free on the first day; assignment parking provided during orientation

Float and Scope

Will float between like units
Must acknowledge the float policy; may be required to float to another facility within a reasonable distance

Onboarding Requirements

Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
Federal exclusion checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG) within 30 days of start, updated monthly
Third-party education verification
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by an MD, NP, PA, DO, or APRN
Negative TB test (IGRA/TSPOT, QuantiFERON Gold, or 2 PPDs) within 12 months of start
Drug screen (9-panel) within 12 months of start
Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted)
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity documentation, or signed declinations
Seasonal flu vaccine or declination
COVID vaccination record or declination
Respirator (RespSafety) clearance, updated annually, and fit test
Application covering at least the last 5 years of employment
2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, in a comparable specialty
Annual regulatory modules (approximately 3.5 hours) and California core modules
