Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Texas
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard experience for Labor and Delivery RN roles (recommend verifying with recruiter)
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)

- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- State-specific checks for Texas (Employability Status Check and Employee Misconduct Registry) within 30 days of start
- Health Requirements:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
- Fit mask test (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S), updated annually
- Immunizations and titers:
- TDAP (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B – positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella – positive titer or 2 vaccines required; booster if titer negative/equivocal
- Flu seasonal vaccination or exemption (for 2025-26 season)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen with THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed
- Competencies:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Color Blind Testing (online Ishihara test acceptable)
- Competency exams as applicable by profession
- Other Requirements:
- Various facility-specific acknowledgments and forms must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., vaccination info, TB and occupational exposure, patient-centered pledge, confidentiality, compliance, background check authorization, traveler identification)
- Orientation modules (~3-4 hours) required during orientation
- References: 2 references required within 3 years of start
- Employment application/resume required
- Skills checklist required and updated annually
