Job Opportunity: OT Inpatient Rehab
Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Occupational Therapy (OT) - Therapy/Rehabilitation
- Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics
- Shift Options:
- 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday OR Tuesday-Saturday
- Shift times: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Either Monday-Friday with 2 rotating weekend shifts or Tuesday-Saturday
- Caseload: Approximately 6 cases per day
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 times during the 13-week assignment)
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Block Scheduling: Yes, open to accommodating M-F or Tues-Sat
- Local Candidates: Not accepted within 75 miles radius
- Pending State License: New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
- Return to Office Restrictions: Greater than 7 days requires approval

Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New Mexico (pending accepted at submission)
- Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening (10 panel, negative within 30 days of start)
- Immunizations or positive titers for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination)
- Varicella
- Tdap vaccine (declinations acceptable)
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required for flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption required
- Orientation and facility-specific document acknowledgments required

- First-time travelers accepted
- No on-call requirement
- Candidates must complete various facility-specific orientation and compliance documents
- Skills checklist and competency exams required as applicable
