Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (ICU) - Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Summary

Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU - Oncology)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from compliance clearance
Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week, guaranteed 36 hours
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Average Daily Census: 21 patients; 25 beds
Unit: ICU Oncology (no chemotherapy administration)
Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Magnet & Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
Charting System: EPIC (required)
Float: May float within oncology floors, oncology service line, ICUs, and potentially other units as needed
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Locals accepted: No (75 mile radius restriction)
Pending License accepted: Yes
Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days off per 13-week contract

Required Experience & Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic
Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Multi-system organ failure management
Arterial line management
Blood product administration
Central line care/management
PICC line management
Starting IVs
Continuous IV sedation
Procedural sedation administration
Titration of cardiac drips
