Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Dubois, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU/Stepdown)
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Schedule: Every other weekend
• Shift: Nights shifts are grouped within the same week; if scheduled for nights, you will work all three days that week at night.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience.
• Prior travel experience is not required.

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have a Pennsylvania or compact nursing license.
• Required certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs, must be renewed annually)

Required Documents & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal history search
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM
  • HHS/OIG
  • Education verification
• PA FBI Fingerprinting within 12 months of start (must be completed in Pennsylvania)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months of start
• Immunizations or declinations for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Flu seasonal vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Alcohol breathalyzer test (not required for this location)
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years of hire
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Photo for badge (passport style, no filters)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of facility-required quizzes (e.g., Bloodborne Pathogen Quiz)

Additional Certifications (as applicable)

• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required annually for Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and Acute Care Units.
