Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Start date strongly preferred: February 9
• Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding units
• ICU experience is a bonus but not required
• Schedule: 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee

Experience Requirements

• Background check required within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide, sex offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent)
• TB Questionnaire required regardless of TB status
• Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series of 3, or declination
• Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (10/1-5/31) or facility-specific medical/religious exemption
• COVID vaccination documentation required

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Annual skills checklist update required

Notes

• Candidate must be willing to complete facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start
• Floating between multiple units is mandatory
• ICU experience is a plus but not mandatory
