Position Details
- Schedule:
- PT Days, 4x10 hour shifts (08:30 AM - 07:00 PM), Tuesday through Friday
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Full weekend every 6 weeks with a flex day before and after to maintain 40 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Float Requirement: Yes, float between Saint Peters and Progress West as needed
- Local Candidates: Not accepted (must live at least 75 miles from facility)
- On-Call: Not required
- Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
Experience & Certification Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years required
- First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
- Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Valid state license
- Pending License: Not accepted
- Special Skills/Areas:
- Cardiopulmonary, Geriatrics, Neurology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Outpatient Clinic
- Techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, skin integrity, strength testing, breathing techniques
- Patient care skills: assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, goal setting (short and long term), plan of care, reassessments, time management
- Equipment familiarity: crutches, gait belt, rolling walker, sliding boards, standard walker, supplemental oxygen, traction table
- Conditions treated: ankle sprains, degenerative disc/joint disease, frozen shoulder, hip fractures, low back pain, lumbar traction, osteoarthritis, post-op surgeries (cervical, shoulder, spinal), sciatica, spinal conditions, total hip/knee replacement
- Neurological conditions: dementia/Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, post-stroke rehabilitation
- Modalities: cervical traction, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, moist heat
- Patient/family education, safety and injury prevention, abuse recognition (physical, sexual, psychological)
- Special Requirements: Orthopedics, neurology, general weakness, pain management
- Advanced Training Therapists Available: LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s, vestibular, pelvic floor (not required)

- Scrub Code: Tan scrub bottoms/pants and black scrub tops

- References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide and nationwide checks)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG quarterly checks
- Education verification of highest degree related to profession (no pending at start)
- State-specific searches and registries as applicable
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA only)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, CPI/MAB as applicable by unit
- State license primary source verification (NURSYS for Missouri)
- IV certification for LPN/LVN if applicable
- Competency Exams:
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Unit-specific competency exams (e.g., oncology for Med Surg-Oncology)
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Fit mask test (annual renewal)
- Immunizations and titers: Tdap, TB testing (2 negative PPDs or T-Spot/Q-Gold), Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (with boosters or declinations as applicable)
- Drug testing within 1 year, must include specific panels and be valid throughout assignment
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
- Facility Specific Documents:
- HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene and fingernail policies, dress code policy, float attestation if applicable
- Regulatory compliance education completed annually via WorkRamp
- Badge photo and Aya Healthcare badge required
- Additional:

- MO FCSR Worker Registration Form for certain clinical areas (time sensitive)
