Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Kerrville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work as a cath lab tech with responsibilities including scrub and monitor for cardiology, vascular intervention, and interventional radiology (IR) cases.
• Experience with Impella and thrombectomy preferred.
• On-call requirement: 10-12 days per month.
• 2 years of experience required.
• 1st time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• State license
• ARRT R or RCIS (either one required, not both)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• I9 form (employment eligibility verification)
• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• E-Verify participation
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year search within 1 year of start (SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide Sex Offender)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
  • HHS/OIG (annual)
  • Education verification
• Professional competency exams (medication/pharmacology and specialty-specific) with minimum 80% score
• State license primary source verification

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
• Vaccinations or documented declinations required for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB test or chest X-ray (negative results required; must be current)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • COVID vaccine or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start

Additional Requirements

• 2 professional references within 3 years of start
• Annual skills checklist and orientation safety manual acknowledgment
• Facility-specific health requirements and vaccination declination forms if applicable
