Job Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  Occasional Saturday shifts may be required depending on clinic needs
  No on-call or overnight coverage
• Work Setting: Clinic and endoscopy procedure area
• Licensing: Minnesota License required (can screen with pending license)

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – preferably American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – preferably American Heart Association or American Red Cross; must be kept up to date during contract
• National Tech Certification as applicable
• State License verification (primary source online verification)
• CEUs as per state requirements (e.g., Alzheimer/Dementia/Elder Abuse training for CNAs)

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for all RNs and Medication Aides)
• Competency Exam as applicable by profession (must meet or exceed passing score)

Background and Screening Requirements

• Standard background check including:

  • 7-year search (SS Trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check (annual)
  • HHS/OIG check (annual)
• Minnesota DHS Net Study Fingerprint Clearance:

  • Candidate must complete the MN DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing contract
  • Fingerprinting must be completed prior to start with clearance or approved exemption letter
  • Candidates cannot start with fingerprints pending unless a “more time needed” letter is approved
  • Fingerprinting registration expires after 2 weeks; must complete livescan appointment within that time
  • Livescan locations may require travel if not locally available

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year plus annual TB questionnaire
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (facility review required)

Drug Testing

• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Facility requires a secondary on-site drug screen and completion of HR documents prior to start (usually Thursday or Friday before Monday start)

References and Documentation

• 2 professional references required for travel, allied, per diem acute care roles
• 1 professional reference required for per diem non-acute care roles
• Annual skills checklist required
