Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Job Description

• 80% outpatient, 20% inpatient (including some pediatrics)
• Requires New Mexico Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty

Required Experience

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Certifications & Licenses

• New Mexico PT license required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit or patient population

Background Checks & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
• HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Initial physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands; updated annually
• Fit mask test completed onsite
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start; updated annually
• TB Questionnaire required annually
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
• Tdap vaccination recommended within 10 years (not required)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); mask required if declined
• COVID-19 booster or declination required (any declination reason accepted)

Drug Testing

• Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months of start
• Additional drug screen may be conducted upon arrival

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completed employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/Medication competency required on first day of orientation (minimum 80% passing score)

This position offers a mix of outpatient and inpatient therapy work with some pediatric exposure, requiring a valid New Mexico PT license and at least one year of experience. Compliance with background checks, health screenings, immunizations, and certifications is mandatory.
