Overview

• Travel/contract role in Redlands, California
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• MAB - Management of Assaultive Behavior
• NIHSS
• Interpretation/Management of dysrhythmias
• BPA
• Central line care/management
• Starting IVs
• Continuous IV Sedation
• IV Vasopressors
• CVA
• CPAP/BiPAP
• Ventilated patients
• Isolation precautions
• Triage

Preferred

• History of extended assignments
• Stroke Certified Facility
• Arterial line management
• Phlebotomy
• Procedural Sedation Administration
• ICP monitoring
• Neuro-trauma
• Spinal cord injusty
• Traumatic brain injury
• Ortho-trauma
• Head injury
• Near drowning
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Interpretation of ABGs
• Gunshot Wounds
• Traumatic amputations

Unit / Setting

• Fast-paced ER at a Community Hospital

Additional Notes

• 24 hours orientation
• Minimum weekend coverage is every other weekend
• Omnicell medication system
• Meditech documentation
• Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary
• Provider coverage includes Intensivist, NP, Hospitalist, and Anesthesiologist
• Single set of RTO up to 7 consecutive days will be considered
• No RTO on holidays or first 2 weeks of contract
• Candidate must be preclosed for 12/01 start date at submission
