Overview

Travel/Contract role in Battle Creek, Michigan
13-week assignment
Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
36 or 48 hour weeks available
Holiday coverage is required
Must be available for the first two weeks of orientation
Works every other weekend
Cannot guarantee or approve block scheduling
May float to other Med Surg units

Unit Details

Medical, Surgical, Oncology Unit (C5)
37-bed unit
Cares for general medical diagnosis patients
Specializes in gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries
Typical staffing ratio is 1:5–6 on nights
Ratios may flex to 8 patients with RN paired with LPN for support

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

2 years Med/Surg experience

Additional Notes

Candidate must be willing to work with a variety of staff, including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
Floating typically occurs about once per week, depending on need
