Overview

Travel/Contract assignment in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00-07:00
36 hours per week
Start date: ASAP
First-timers accepted
Every other weekend required
Float within scope to meet facility needs
Local candidates accepted
Travel pairs are not opposed, but same schedules are not guaranteed

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CVICU experience with 2 years of experience
CVICU experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Experience with arterial line management
Experience with blood product administration
Experience with acute ventilator management
Experience with CRRT
Experience caring for open heart recovery patients
Experience with transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
Experience with post-code blue management

Preferred

Strong CVICU experience

Unit / Clinical Setting

SICU population includes trauma patients, CV surgery patients such as TAVRs and CABGs directly from the OR, neurosurgery patients, and other complicated surgical patients
Common clinical needs include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, arterial line management, blood product administration, acute ventilator need, COVID+ with high O2 demand, DKA, severe sepsis, unstable GI bleed, trauma cases, open heart recovery, TAVR recovery, s/p code blue, multi system organ failure, and CRRT
