Overview

• Travel/Contract RN assignment in Amesbury, Massachusetts
• 13 weeks
• Evening shift: 5x8 hours, 15:00–23:30
• Every other weekend scheduling
• Unit has 16 beds; staffing is typically 2 RNs per shift, with overnight usually 1 RN

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Psychiatric experience with 2 years of experience
• Psychiatric experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Government issued photo ID
• 7-year background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM
• HHS/OIG
• Fingerprinting
• Education verification for highest degree obtained
• State license verification
• NURSYS verification
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
• Competency exam, as applicable to profession/specialty
• Physical exam
• Fit mask
• TB questionnaire
• Negative drug screen
• COVID vaccination proof or declination form
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start
• Complete application
• Skills checklist, if applicable to the unit

Preferred

• Negative QGOLD or TSPOT within 1 year of start and updated annually
• A true 2-step PPD is accepted if completed before start

Additional Details

• The assignment is at the other site on Morrill Place in Amesbury, MA
• Charge/med RN and admission/discharge RN roles are used in staffing
• For 9 kids, minimum staffing is 4 staff on day and evening
• For 12 kids, day staffing is 2 RNs and 2 MHCs; evening staffing is 2 RNs and 3 MHCs
