Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Overview

• Employment type: Travel/Contract

• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour schedule
• Weekly hours: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics
• EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty experience or a nationally recognized certificate or proof of specialty training program completion
• BSN, MSN, or current enrollment in an RN-BSN program

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ethical, nonjudgmental, and nondiscriminatory nursing care
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Participate in quality improvement activities and help improve nursing practice
• Collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
• Develop plans of care and make referrals as needed

Compliance / Onboarding

• Current government-issued photo ID
• Background check
• Sex offender search
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask testing within one year prior to start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap documentation
• TB screening or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
• Hepatitis B titer or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID vaccination or approved exemption
• 2 professional references verifying most recent experience in the last 24 months
