Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Washington, DC
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day or night, 3x12 hours
Hours per week: 36
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
On-call: not required
First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted
Pending license accepted

Clinical Details

Specialty focus: pediatric critical care
Strong PICU experience required
Must be comfortable floating within scope between PICU, CVPICU, and NICU
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, ratio may be 1:3

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Critical Care Float experience within the last year
2 years of experience in Critical Care Float
PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
CVPICU experience
NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
CHEMO - Chemotherapy
NURSYS verification
State license verification

Schedule Notes

Block scheduling may be accommodated for weekends
RTO limit: 7 days maximum
If taking 1 consecutive week of RTO, one additional week must be added to the end of the contract to make up the time
