Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Location

• Redding, California
• In-person school-based assignment serving multiple school sites in Trinity County and Shasta County, or four school sites in Shasta County

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Start date: August 12, 2026
• Expected to cover the full school year if possible, through May 28, 2027

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour day shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Role Overview

• Provide pediatric and school-based occupational therapy services
• Responsibilities include schedule planning, evaluation, treatment program design, and implementation
• Travel between school sites is required
• Reimbursed mileage and travel time are paid

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California
• Bachelor's degree
• Driver's License

Additional Requirements

• Background check
• Fingerprinting
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Drug screen within 12 months of start
• Two professional references within 3 years of hire
• Skills checklist
• State license verification
• National certification/verification, as applicable by profession and state
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgment
• Competency exam, as applicable to profession/specialty

Health Documentation

• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella, and seasonal flu documentation as specified by client guidelines
