Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM), 5 days a week
• Hours: 40 hours per week guaranteed (36 guaranteed hours weekly with expectation to see 5-6 patients daily; guaranteed hours not applied during first 2 weeks, holidays, or time off)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1, may visit up to 6 patients per day
• Weekend Work: Optional weekend patient visits to meet productivity goals
• On-Call: Not required
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Locals: Accepted
• Transportation: Must have own reliable transportation; occasional travel radius up to 50+ miles
• Documentation: Timely communication and documentation required; documentation tools provided and must be returned
• Attire: Any color scrubs
• Parking: Free
• Mileage Reimbursement: IRS standard

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Must complete standard background checks including 7-year search and annual federal exclusions screenings
• Required to submit government-issued photo ID and emergency contact form prior to start
• Must provide proof of auto insurance and current auto registration
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start, cleared to work without restrictions
• Immunizations and health documentation required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or annual declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella vaccinations or positive titers with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccine series or declination
  • Flu vaccine or declination required year-round
  • COVID-19 vaccine documentation or declination form required
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 1 year of start
• Must provide 2 professional references within 3 years for travel/allied/per diem acute care roles
• Work history verification of at least 1 year related to profession required
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing as applicable

• The system groups clients to minimize drive and windshield time

This position is ideal for experienced Physical Therapists with home health experience who are ready for a travel contract in California and can meet the required licensure, certifications, and compliance documentation.
