Job Overview

• Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Contract length: 16 weeks
• Shift: Day, 8 hours
• Weekly hours: 40
• Schedule: 5x8s or 4x8s considered
• Start/end timing: 6:00–14:30 or 7:30–16:00
• Orientation: 3 days on the unit
• Float: May float to other Charlotte-area ambulatory surgery centers if needed, though rarely
• Call: None
• Weekend: None
• RTO: Up to 7 days maximum for auto-offer; no RTO after booking

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting
• Malignant hyperthermia protocol knowledge

Preferred Experience

• Pedi PACU, Phase I PACU, or Phase II Recovery
• ENT, general, or ophthalmology surgical cases
• Tonsillectomy experience
• Emergency medications, narcotics/opioid analgesics, and reversal agents
• Cataract extraction/implant and eye trauma
• Managing pediatric patients
• Airway assessment and placement of oral/nasal airways
• General, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
• Follow-up phone calls, 12-lead EKG/ECG, and pre/post-operative procedures
