Work Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Shift options include:
- 5x8 hour shifts
- 4x10 hour shifts (e.g., 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM)
- 2x8 & 2x12 hour shifts
- No on-call or weekend shifts
- Scheduling flexibility: block scheduling, rotational, or set day off depending on shift pattern

Job Description
- Role: Electrophysiology Lab Technician
- Must be able to scrub during procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician
- Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Must be able to scrub during procedures
Required Certifications & Training
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC only (verify unit-specific requirements)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify before qualifying)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification including foreign equivalency evaluation if applicable
- Sex offender search required
- Verification of highest level of education required
- Employment application with 7-year work history and no gaps greater than 90 days
- Work history verification for last 7 years (attestations not accepted)
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for this role and must be updated if there is a 30-day gap between assignments
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (clean shaven required)
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation as applicable
- Annual TB questionnaire
- Required vaccinations or proof of immunity (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B) or approved medical/religious exemptions
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (September 1 - March 31)
- COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory
Competency Exams
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start (minimum 85% score)
- Color blind testing required for all candidates starting on or after 8/2/2024 (minimum 80% score)
Facility-Specific Training and Attestations (to be completed by candidate)
- Language Services Training (required for RNs, verify if applicable)
- CAUTI Education Training (required for RNs except PICU, NICU, Psychiatry/Behavioral Health)
- Suicide Risk and Environmental Assessment Training
- Mobile Heartbeat Alarm Module (except ER/ED, Pediatrics, ICU, NICU)
- Stroke Education (required for RNs except Pediatric specialties and NICU)
- CLABSI Prevention Training for Adult and Pediatric patients
- Preventing Pressure Injury Training
- Patient Transportation with Oxygen Education
- Pyxis ES MedStation Training
- Baxter Pump Interoperability Training
- Patient Bedside Rounding (except OR, Behavioral Health, Ambulatory, ER/ED)
- Ventricular Assist Device Awareness (except certain hospitals)
- AME Blood Administration Module (except Case Managers, Behavioral Health/Psych, Home Health)
- New Employee Orientation Module
- 21st Century Cures Act Module (required for this specialty)
- ED Handbook (for ED/ER RNs only)
- eCart Training Module (not required for Pediatric, Periop/OR, Outpatient, Case Managers, Home Health)
- Chaperone Policy Training (required if gap >6 months or updated module)
- Fire Safety Module (effective 5/4/2026)
