Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

• Operating Room position with late call coverage required.
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Operating Room (OR) specialty.
• Operating Room experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance and Documentation

• Two supervisor references verified within 6 months of start, preferably from direct supervisors.
• Employment application must explain any gaps longer than 30 days.
• Employment verification covering the last 7 years required, completed at least 8 business days before start.
• Skills checklists and competency exams must be current and renewed annually as applicable.
• Facility-specific documents such as confidentiality agreements and acceptable use policies must be signed prior to start.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must have a renewal plan in place for any certifications or documents expiring during the contract.
• Background checks and verifications must be initiated promptly if prior documents do not meet requirements.
• Candidates failing required exams or competency tests after allowed attempts will be canceled.
