Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position
Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
- Call Rotation: 1 week every 5 weeks
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiation Therapist license in Montana
- Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
- Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
- Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or passport
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA only; certificates of completion not accepted)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only; certificates of completion not accepted)
- Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and education verification completed within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
- Quantitative fit test with a 3M mask within 90 days prior to start (qualitative tests not accepted; must be clean-shaven; religious exemptions evaluated case-by-case)
- Immunizations and/or titers required:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if titers low/equivocal)
- Hepatitis B: Positive IGG titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination within last year
- Varicella: Positive IGG titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if titers low/equivocal)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination (TD not accepted)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31) unless medically/religiously exempted
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption
Compliance and Documentation
- Employment application covering 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days
- Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference from the past year (letters accepted)
- Employment verification preferred for the last 5 years
- Skills checklist as applicable
- Background and license approvals coordinated through compliance prior to start

- Facility-specific OSHA form required for onsite fit testing
- Negative TB test required and must be renewed annually (options include TSPOT, QGOLD, or PPD with follow-up testing as needed)
