Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Warrensville Heights, Ohio
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse position on night shift
• Requires recent and permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum 18 months (1.5 years) recent Telemetry experience within the last year
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance & Background Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID) required and must be carried on assignment
• Background check including:

  • FCRA-compliant 7-year search (SSN trace, counties, states, nationwide, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3, education verification)
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually; must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Primary source verification of RN license within 30 days of start
• Nursys verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask test (3M N95 1860 or 1870+) within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Immunization and health requirements including:

  • Tdap vaccine every 10 years (no declinations accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per protocol
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B vaccination/titer or declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer with booster if needed
  • Annual flu vaccination documentation (no declinations accepted)
• Standard 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually (instant drug screens not accepted)
• Snellen eye exam within 1 year of start

Orientation & Facility Requirements

• Completion of online onboarding and training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; cannot be completed on a phone)
• Baseline competency exams (medication and ECG) completed during orientation; remediation and retake opportunities provided if needed
• Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, white background)
• Must submit 2 professional references from employment within the last year (manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director)
• Employment application must include at least 3 years prior work history with 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area

Additional Notes

• PBDS Assessment waived for this assignment
• Traveler must be prepared to complete assessments and submit hours via facility systems
• Candidates with gaps less than 6 months since last assignment at this or related facilities may have some requirements waived (e.g., SafeMedicate prep materials, competency exams)
• Candidates starting extension contracts must have fingerprinting results/attestation on file or obtain facility approval to start with pending results
