Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Orientation: No non-billable orientation hours required (0 hours vs. standard 40 hours)
- Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract.
Job Description
- Work in a fast-paced Interventional Radiology department supporting Vascular Surgeons and Interventional Radiologists.
- Utilize Philips imaging rooms (including one biplane) and a GE Hybrid room.
- Facility type: Short Term Acute Care
- Total staffed beds: 325
- Charting system: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 and state requirements)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly.
- Education Verification required.
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable for Washington.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant tests acceptable).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates (updated annually).
References and Employment History
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates.
- Work history verification required if reference requirements are not met.
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required.
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
- Float policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other nearby facilities.
- Color blindness testing and medication/pharmacology competency exams may be required as applicable.
This position is ideal for Interventional Radiology Technologists with at least 1 year of experience who are open to travel assignments outside their local area. The role offers a structured 4x10 day shift schedule in a technologically advanced acute care setting.
