Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Saint Marys, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Cerner experience preferred
• PA or compact nursing license required and must be in hand
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification, PALS
• Work schedule includes every other weekend
• Navy scrubs required
• No local candidates within 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are welcome

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification

Additional Information

• Fingerprinting must be completed in Pennsylvania; mailing fingerprint packets is not allowed
• Candidates must complete facility-specific orientation packets and acknowledgments prior to start
• Photo for badge must be passport style, no filters
• Candidates declining vaccines must complete appropriate declination forms and may be required to wear masks
• No onsite classes available for MAB/CPI; online certification accepted
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
