Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CCU

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 11 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule options include block scheduling: 6 days on, 8 days off, or every weekend Friday through Sunday.
  • Required to work 50% of holidays.
  • Floating assignments include ICU Cluster and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units (ratio 1:4).
  • Unit is an 18-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU/CVICU) caring for highest acuity patients with specialty equipment.
  • Position requires physical activity including ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.
  • Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year; rotating shifts, holiday work, and work during inclement weather are required.
  • Essential functions include ability to work full contract term, full shifts, take call, work assigned weekends, and at least half of holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including 1 year Level 1 Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) experience
  • At least 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are accepted for this position.
  • Floating between ICU Cluster and Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units is required.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and be flexible with scheduling.
  • Physical demands and exposure risks require adherence to safety protocols.
  • Compliance with all background checks, immunizations, and credential verifications is mandatory prior to start.
