Position Details
- Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Electroneurodiagnostic Technology)
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day/Evening, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), rotating weekends
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Dates Available: May 11 or May 18, 2026
- Call: No call required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an EEG Technician
- EEG Technician experience within the last year
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association (AHA) issued
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA issued (check unit description for requirement)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA issued (check unit description for requirement)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - if applicable
- National certification verification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Background check within 90 days prior to start date, including SSN trace, county, nationwide, and sex offender searches
- Education verification or diploma/transcript required if education verification cannot be completed
- Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check and BID Form required within 90 days of start (state mandated)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire and monthly thereafter
- Drug screening required per Vaya standard (clinical candidates)
- Physical exam must be collected to meet agency standard (not required by facility)
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TB test or chest X-ray (with specific guidelines for positive history)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination proof
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titers; medical/religious exemptions allowed with approval
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer; medical/religious exemptions allowed with approval
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination form (required for direct patient care or blood/body fluid exposure)
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (annual requirement during flu season)
- Meningococcal vaccine or declination (if working in Microbiology Department)
Testing and Competency Requirements
- Pass/Fail Telemetry Testing (EKG/Medication) as applicable
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Pediatric and Adult Telemetry exams required for inpatient units (NICU, PICU, Pediatric units) and adult specialties; must be completed through agency LMS with strict passing criteria and remediation process
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required annually
Additional Facility-Specific Requirements
- Passport-style photo for badge (no selfies or headwear except for religious/medical reasons)
- Completion of communicable disease form within 90 days of start
- Completion of various vaccine exemption forms if applicable (flu, MMR, Varicella)
- Signed acknowledgment of pass/fail testing for telemetry if applicable
References and Documentation
- Two clinical references within the last 3 years (agency standard)

This position offers a structured 13-week travel contract with day/evening 10-hour shifts and no on-call duties, ideal for experienced EEG Technologists with pediatric experience preferred. Compliance with state and facility-specific background, health, and certification requirements is mandatory.
