Position Details

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications:
- ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Schedule & Work Conditions

Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
Approval for block scheduling can be requested but is not guaranteed
Local candidates accepted within a 60-mile radius

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks:
- Must be completed within 90 days of start
- Includes SSN trace, state and national criminal checks, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, and international searches if applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
Education Verification: Required; diploma or transcripts accepted as placeholder if verification is pending
Work History Verification: Last 3 clinical employers verified; attestation letters accepted only if other verification methods exhausted
References: Two clinical references required, including at least one from the same unit
Employment Application: Must include all PTO, contract assignments, agency names, and no unaccounted gaps

Health & Safety Requirements

Physical Exam: Must be completed within 90 days of start, updated annually, confirming ability to meet job demands without restrictions
Immunizations & Titers:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination form required
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; low titers require boosters
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination required
TB Testing: Negative T-spot or Q-Gold within 90 days of start; if positive, chest x-ray documentation required
Drug Screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start; no instant tests accepted
Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Aug 1 – Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted but no declinations
COVID-19 Vaccination: Not required but highly preferred; vaccination records or declination form must be uploaded
Respirator Clearance: Annual medical clearance required via RespSafety virtual questionnaire
