Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location: Sonora, California

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. Perform a variety of imaging procedures including CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging from adolescence through geriatric
• Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
• Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images accurately
• Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information
• Ensure integrity and confidentiality of patient medical images and data in compliance with HIPAA
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment
• Manage supply inventory
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Current picture identification required
• Background check covering the last 7 years, including social security trace, county/state/federal court jurisdictions, and other regulatory checks
• Drug testing required within 30 days before start
• Physical exam required within 90 days of start
• Immunizations and health screenings required or accepted with declinations:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or positive titer)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (updated annually)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccination series, or signed declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination/exemption required during flu season (10/31 - 04/30)
• N95 fit test preferred; PAPR documentation if applicable
• Annual OSHA mandatory training
• Various competency exams required (e.g., medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG, conscious sedation) through approved vendors
• Facility-specific documents and acknowledgments must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., confidentiality agreements, dress code, safety guides)

Additional Notes

• Two clinical references verified within one year of start required
• Complete application/resume with 7-year work history including gaps required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
• Radiation badges for CT provided by the facility (not required to bring)
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training may be required depending on unit assignment
