Work Schedule
- Day shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Must work all scheduled shifts; no accommodations outside approved time off
Specialty
- Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Patient populations include adult trauma, burns, medically and neurologically complicated cases, tracheostomy patients, spinal cord injury, complex sleep disordered breathing
- Units: Burn ICU (BPICU), Surgical ICU (SICU), Medical ICU (MICU), Neuroscience ICU (NSICU), and a busy Emergency Department with ECLS transfers
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required; training available
Required Experience and Certifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including critical care experience within the last 12 months
- Experience working with adult patients and Level 1 Trauma patients
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required Skills
- Monitoring and ventilator management
- Oxygen therapy
- Trauma and adult ICU patient care
On-Call and Floating
- No on-call requirement
- No floating outside scope of practice
Additional Requirements
- Background check: 7-year criminal background check including nationwide and sex offender registries
- Drug screening within past 12 months (Aya requirement, not facility)
- Fit mask test within 12 months (specific mask models required)
- Immunizations and health documents including:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days or annual questionnaire
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations (with declination option)
- Hepatitis B titer or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccination or declination (for tracking)
- Color blindness testing required
- Medication and competency exams required (including dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with 80% passing score)
- Two professional references required

- Scrub color: Any solid color; light blue scrubs provided on unit
- Parking available onsite and offsite with shuttle service (details provided separately)
Orientation and Training
- Orientation includes pass/fail testing (80% passing required)
- Modules must be completed prior to start date
- Onsite orientation testing for RNs; not required for allied techs
- Dysrhythmia competency exam required for ICU, ED, and related units
