Job Description

• Must have experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Required certifications/licenses: BLS, ARRT (Radiologic Technologist), OBMI License.
• Work settings include:

  • Adult and Pediatric Acute Care and Outpatient
  • Emergency Department
  • ICU, NICU, PICU
  • Operating Room
  • Bedside/Portable Procedures

Imaging Skills Required

• Abdomen (decubitus, supine, upright)
• Chest and Thorax (AP, lateral decubitus, routine, upper airway)
• Fluoroscopy studies including trauma cases
• Head (orbits)
• Lower Extremity (ankle, calcaneus, femur, foot, knee, patella, tibia-fibula, toes, trauma)
• Mobile/Surgical procedures (C-Arm, O-ARM, portable abdomen and chest)
• Spine and Pelvis (cervical spine, hip, lumbar spine, pelvis, sacrum/coccyx, thoracic spine)
• Upper Extremity (clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, humerus, scapula, shoulder, thumb/finger, trauma, wrist)

Equipment Experience

• GE, O-ARM, PACS, Philips, Siemens

Professional Knowledge

• Infection Prevention
• Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Radiation Safety

Orientation & Training

• Two unit orientations required, scheduled with facility.
• Badge pickup must be done Monday through Friday during business hours.
• Completion of up to 8 hours of modules including Epic course/exam independently before starting work.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience.
• Valid ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) license.
• BLS certification.
• OBMI license.
• Epic experience required.
• Ability to work in multiple acute care and outpatient settings.
• Must complete required orientation and training modules.

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider only.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for certain nursing roles; preferred for others.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred for NICU.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Required for L&D, MBU, NICU nurses.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) - Preferred for L&D and MBU nurses.
• Stroke CEUs required for specific units.
• Competency exams with required passing scores.
• Color Blind Testing for phlebotomists.
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable.

Background & Screening Requirements

• Valid government-issued photo ID required on first day.
• Background check within 6 months of start, including education and work history verification.
• National sex offender search within 30 days prior to start.
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel with methamphetamines listed, within 3 months prior to start.
• Education verification required.
• References: Two manager or supervisor references within last 24 months required.
• Employment application must include at least 7 years of work history.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
• TB questionnaire required.
• Immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (or signed declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination required annually.
• Fit mask testing required within one year prior to start.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be fully available for compliance needs up until start date.
• Must complete facility-specific modules and provide proof of completion.
• Facility requires professional appearance policy to be reviewed and signed prior to start.
• Some in-person trainings may be required during orientation or within 60 days of start.
• Badge and network account setup instructions will be provided.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
