Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Blended Unit PCU
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work on a neuroscience blended unit (Progressive Care Unit - PCU)
- Strong neuroscience experience required
- Locals allowed at the same rate
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) schedule and 2 holidays per contract as applicable
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
Additional Notes
- Fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) checks required for certain pediatric, NICU, behavioral health, and labor & delivery units; results may pend but proof of submission must be on file prior to start
- Candidates must complete Virginia Central Registry submission within 48 hours of contract signing; may start with results pending if submission proof is provided
- No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled prior to contract start
- Candidates should be prepared to bring a mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and a laptop or cell phone to orientation (note if candidate does not have a device)
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit prior travel experience required
This position is ideal for RNs with neuroscience experience seeking a travel contract in a progressive care setting.
