Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Float Nurse

Location: Huntington, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Major Teaching Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
Total Staffed Beds: 330
Charting system: Cerner
Free parking available for travelers
Scrub color: Black scrubs (or facility T-shirt); surgery requires changing into provided surgery scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Candidates cannot start before April 19th; no March start candidates accepted
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and compliance requirements
Onsite orientation includes safety manual acknowledgement and competency exams
Facility provides surgery scrubs when reporting to surgery
