Job Opportunity: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

  • Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Follow unit, department, and hospital policies, evidence-based nursing practices, and standards of care.
  • May be required to float to other campuses within the system for support as census permits, within scope of practice.

Shift Details

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
  • Variable shifts: 7am-7pm, 11am-11pm, 3pm-3am, 7pm-7am
  • Every other weekend rotation required; no on-call

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
    • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
  • Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

  • Must review and sign facility-specific documents including standards of business conduct, vendor training, code of conduct, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
  • TB questionnaire completed and signed by healthcare provider within 90 days of start, renewed annually.

  • Physical exam must state "cleared for work" or equivalent; any work restrictions must be documented.
