Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Hospice

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Specialty: Hospice nursing
  • Patient load: Approximately 5-7 patients per day (geriatric, end-of-life care)
  • Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
  • Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the office hub
  • Dress code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
  • Documentation and communication must be timely and accurate
  • Device provided: iPad (no personal cell phones allowed)
  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
  • Flexibility with territory expected
  • Local candidates accepted at travel rate

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in District of Columbia
  • Minimum 1 year of hospice nursing experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
