Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
Epic electronic health record experience preferred
Staffing ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Strict 5 days maximum return to office (RTO) policy

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications preferred

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Competency Requirements

Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (annual)
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (annual)
Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) annually

Additional Information

Government-issued photo ID required with name matching all documentation
Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days
CPI Blue Card accepted; CPI training may be completed onsite if not already certified (must be completed within 30 days of start)
Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency
Strict adherence to employee appearance policy and facility-specific requirements
