Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- Epic electronic health record experience preferred
- Staffing ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Strict 5 days maximum return to office (RTO) policy
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications preferred
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg / Telemetry
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (annual)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (annual)
- Core competency exams (Parts I, II, III) annually
Additional Information
- Government-issued photo ID required with name matching all documentation
- Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps over 30 days
- CPI Blue Card accepted; CPI training may be completed onsite if not already certified (must be completed within 30 days of start)
- Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency
- Strict adherence to employee appearance policy and facility-specific requirements
