Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele Float

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
  • Epic electronic health record experience preferred
  • Staffing ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Strict 5 days maximum return to office (RTO) policy

Required Certifications

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications are preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Competency Requirements

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher, updated annually)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (updated annually)
  • Core competency exams (Parts I, II, and III) updated annually

Additional Information

  • Employment application must include 7 years of work history with no gaps longer than 30 days
  • Government-issued photo ID required with name matching all documentation
  • CPI Blue Card accepted; CPI training may be completed onsite if not already certified (must be completed within 30 days of start)
  • Physical exam not required by employer but may be required by placement agency within 12 months of start
