Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients independently within accepted nursing practice guidelines, medical direction, and hospital policies. Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care. Teach and direct clinical support staff in delegated tasks to implement therapeutic care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records; promptly report changes or concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights to ensure compassionate care.
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical environment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
