Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp, Days

Location: Renton, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)

Job Summary

• Assist the Physical Therapist in treating patients of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life care.
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups.
• Collaborate directly with the Physical Therapist to modify and implement patient care plans.
• Teach patients techniques such as balance training.
• Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area.
• Communicate with families to recommend effective at-home care techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the physical therapy area.
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license (must be active at time of submission).
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience.
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) settings.
• Certifications must be current and through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Must hold an active license in Ohio or a compact state at time of submission.
