Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator (RN) role is designed to facilitate the functioning of clinical staff within the office. The RN coordinates clinical support staff activities to enhance patient and information flow and ensures adequate coverage during office hours. This position involves independent nursing care within accepted nursing practice guidelines, medical direction, and hospital policies. The RN also functions as an Office Nurse, triaging patient calls, managing prescription refills, and coordinating patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records; report changes or concerns promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following hospital policies and protocols.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Offer emotional support and advocate for patients’ rights.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing (verified via Nursys).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree highly preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (required).
- Pediatrics experience (highly preferred).
- Experience in direct medical office work, including clinical staff supervision (highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
- Candidates must be in the process of relocating to New Hampshire (serious inquiries only).
