Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp, Long Term Care (LTC)

Location: Lewistown, Missouri

Job Description

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of assistive devices, and wound care.
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly; evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
• Document all required clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic records, including treatment minutes.
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, rehabilitation meetings, and required trainings or in-services.
• Obtain necessary durable medical equipment (DME) or supplies as needed.
• Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students.
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience (higher requirement applies)
• Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings required
• Missouri State Physical Therapist License required
• New graduates are considered if they have completed Level II experience (beyond Level I observation)
